- Pinku Eiga: Beyond Pink, 11-film retrospective at the 50th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, Greece, 13th – 22nd November 2009. Curated as part of the Independence Days section with Lefteris Adamidis.
- Pigs, Eels & Insects: Reassessing the Legacy of Shohei Imamura, Arnolfini, Bristol, 15 October – 8 November 2009. Co-curated with Patrick Crogan and Alastair Cameron. The season traveled to the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, and Glasgow Film Theatre.
- 17th Raindance Film Festival, London, 30th September – 11th October, 2009. Programmer on the ‘Way Out East’, ‘Documentary’ and ‘Global Celluloid’ sections, this year with a special 6-film focus on ‘Japanese Women Filmmakers’
- Shinsedai New Generation Japanese Film Festival, Toronto, 21st-23rd August 2009. Co-Programmer / Co-Director (with Chris MaGee).
- L’Empire du Désire retrospective at the Cinémathèque Québécoise de Montréal, in conjunction with Montreal Fantasia Film Festival, 14-27th July 2009. Curator and guest speaker.
- Anna May Wong Must Die! event, in conjunction with the writer/broadcaster Anna Chen, the Roxy Cinema, London, 28th May 2009. Organizer and speaker.
- Sexploitation and Experimentation: The Many Shades of Pink Film retrospective at the Deutsches Filmmuseum, Frankfurt, in conjunction with Nippon Connection festival, 16-18th April 2009. Curator and guest speaker.

- Dark Dreams in Plasticine programme of British stop-motion animation, screened at at the Animate the World festival held at the Barbican, London, 5 April 2009. Curator.

- Wild Japan: Sex in Japanese Cinema of the 60s and 70s season at the BFI Southbank, London and other selected UK venues, December 2008. Co-curator (with Matt Palmer).
- Behind the Pink Curtain retrospective at Fantastic Fest, Austin, Texas, September 2008. Curator.
- 16th Raindance Film Festival, London, 1-12th October, 2008. Programmer on the ‘Way Out East’, ‘Documentary’ and ‘Global Celluloid’ sections.
- Kawamoto The Puppet Master event at the Watershed, Bristol on 15-16th March 2008, with the program touring to London Barbican, National Media Museum in Bradford, Manchester Cornerhouse, Edinburgh Filmhouse, Tyneside Cinema and Sheffield Showroom until May 2008. Curator/organiser of an event that brought together the works of the stop-motion animator Kihachiro Kawamoto with UK animators including David Borthwick, Peter Lord, Suzie Templeton and Barry Purves.
- A Life More Ordinary: A Portrait of Contemporary Japanese People on Film annual touring season for the Japan Foundation UK, screening at London, Belfast, Edinburgh, Sheffield and Bristol. February-March, 2008. Program Advisor.
